Following the appointment of Philippe Baptiste as Minister for Higher Education and Research, Lionel Suchet has been named acting Chairman and CEO of CNES, effective January 6, 2025.

This appointment is the subject of an order by the Minister of the Armed Forces, the Minister for Higher Education and Research, reporting to the Minister of State, Minister for National Education, Higher Education and Research, and the Minister for Industry and Energy, reporting to the Minister for the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, dated January 3, 2025.

Lionel Suchet has been Deputy CEO of CNES since August 28, 2017.
