Toulouse Space Centre (CST) - Orbital systems

Our engineers in Toulouse conceive and operate orbital systems, and exploit the data they acquire. With some 3,000 people working on site, the CST is the largest space field centre in Europe.

Getting to CNES CST - Public transport, cycling, car (PDF)

  • Metro: Line B to Ramonville terminus then on foot or via shuttle bus 111 to South gate: 700 m (8-to-10-minute walk)
  • Bus: lines 27, 37 or 80, alight at CNES-IAS stop opposite North gate
  • From Toulouse Matabiau train station: Metro Line A to Jean-Jaurès station then change to Line B
  • From Toulouse-Blagnac airport: tram to Saint-Michel station then Metro Line B, or Tisseo airport shuttle bus to Jean-Jaurès then Metro Line B

Guiana Space Centre (CSG) - Launch operations

Europe’s spaceport guarantees independent access to space for ESA’s member states. More than 40 European firms and 1,600 personnel at the base conduct launch operations.
