Pauline Pannier

Secretary general

A graduate of the IEP political studies institute (Sciences Po) and the EHESS school of advanced studies in social sciences, and a former alumnus of France’s ENA civil service school, Pauline Pannier was appointed as an intern at the Conseil d'Etat in 2014 and promoted to the rank of master of requests in January 2017. She was then appointed advisor on public freedoms, asylum, immigration, integration and religious practices to Gérard Collomb and then Christophe Castaner at the Ministry of the Interior.

From 2019 to 2020, she was deputy chief of staff to Frédérique Vidal, the Minister for Higher Education, Research and Innovation.

She was subsequently deputy chief of staff to Amélie de Montchalin, Minister for Transformation and the Civil Service between 2020 and 2021.

Pauline Pannier is Secretary General of CNES since 3 January 2022.
