    The CNES delegation to the maritime economy convention in Nice, led by its Chairman & CEO Philippe Baptiste, was welcomed to the Monaco Oceanographic Museum by its Director, Robert Calcagno, Tuesday 14 September. After a guided tour and discussions centred on future areas for cooperation, Philippe Baptiste and Robert Calcagno signed a partnership agreement aimed at gaining new insights into the oceans through space technologies, in the presence of His Excellency Laurent Stefanini, France’s Ambassador to Monaco.

  17. CNES AT INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SPACE OPTICS

    The 13th International Conference on Space Optics (ICSO), co-organized by CNES and ESA, is being held virtually from 30 March to 2 April. Since 1991, ICSO is the must-attend event for optical, optoelectronic and photonic technologies for space applications. Opening the proceedings, CNES President Jean-Yves Le Gall underlined the roles played by these technologies and the challenges associated with them through past, present and future accomplishments.

  20. 296TH SESSION OF ESA COUNCIL- MAINTAINING THE INDUSTRY BASE

    ESA Council convened by videoconference for its 296th session on Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 March, the first for the new Director General, Josef Aschbacher, who was appointed for a four-year term in December 2020 and took up his post on 1 March. ESA is an intergovernmental organization of 22 member states.
