  9. IAF Spring Meetings 2019- IAF Bureau dinner in honour of 72nd IAC in Paris in 2021

    Every year in March, the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) organizes its Spring Meetings in Paris. This year, they are being held from 26 to 28 March at the New Cap Conference Centre in the capital’s 15th arrondissement. Over three days, the IAF’s Technical and Administrative Committees are meeting to review progress with ongoing projects, while the International Programme Committee is selecting presentations for the International Astronautical Congress (IAC), the 70th edition of which will be held later this year in Washington D.C. This event will coincide with celebrations around the world marking the 50th anniversary of man’s first step on the Moon.

  10. French space shines at IAC 2018 in Bremen- Paris to host 72nd IAC in 2021

    The 69th International Astronautical Congress (IAC), focused on the theme ‘Involving Everyone’, came to a close today in Bremen, Germany, with the selection of Paris as host city for IAC 2021. This leading event in the space calendar has held all its promises and proved a huge success. CNES’s participation was especially noteworthy, with a series of agreements signed and new partnerships sealed with various international space players, large numbers of visitors to the agency’s stand and a high standard of technical presentations from its scientists and engineers.

    Le 69ème IAC (International Astronautical Congress) autour du thème « Involving Everyone » s’est achevé le vendredi 5 octobre à Brême (Allemagne) par l’élection de Paris pour accueillir le 72ème IAC en 2021. Devenu un rendez-vous incontournable dans le monde du spatial, ce congrès a tenu toutes ses promesses et a remporté un très grand succès, avec une participation du CNES particulièrement remarquable, comme en témoignent les accords passés, les nouveaux partenariats avec différents acteurs de la scène spatiale internationale, l’affluence sur son stand et la qualité des présentations techniques effectuées par ses scientifiques et ingénieurs.

    The 68th International Astronautical Congress (IAC) was held this week in Adelaide, Australia, from 25-29 September on the theme ‘Unlocking Imagination, Fostering Innovation and Strengthening Security’, attracting 5,000 delegates from more than 70 countries. A large delegation of scientists, engineers and executives from the French space sector was at this leading international event to present the major advances of our space programme and seal new partnerships with a range of stakeholders on the international space scene.

    Le 68ème IAC (International Astronautical Congress) s’est tenu à Adélaïde, en Australie, du 25 au 29 septembre, autour du thème « Unlocking Imagination, Fostering Innovation and Strengthening Security ». Plus de 70 pays représentés par 5.000 participants étaient présents à ce rendez-vous international incontournable et une importante délégation de scientifiques, ingénieurs et dirigeants de l’espace français a présenté les grandes avancées de notre programme spatial. Ce rendez-vous de haut niveau a aussi permis d’établir de nouveaux partenariats avec différents acteurs de la scène spatiale internationale.

  20. France-Australia space cooperation- Successful Austral 2017 balloon flight campaign- Promising prospects for future cooperation in sight

    CNES has completed the three stratospheric balloon flights of its Austral 2017 campaign without a hitch, yielding a rich harvest of precious science data on climate, astronomy and technology. CNES President Jean-Yves Le Gall visited the Alice Springs balloon launch facility to congratulate the agency’s and research laboratories’ flight campaign teams. He then met several Australian space executives and officials ahead of the 68th International Astronautical Congress (IAC) to be held in Adelaide this September.
