    Wednesday 7 March in Paris, at the invitation of ANRT, the French research and technology association, and in partnership with the Pink Innov’ and Femmes & Sciences women’s advocacy groups, CNES President Jean-Yves Le Gall took part in a symposium on the impacts of gender diversity on careers in research and innovation, opened by Frédérique Vidal, Minister for Higher Education, Research and Innovation, where he spoke in his capacity as President of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF).

    The 67th International Astronautical Congress (IAC), the annual gathering of the international space community, came to a close on Friday 30 September in Guadalajara with CNES President Jean-Yves Le Gall taking up his post as the new President of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) after a moving handover speech from Kiyoshi Higuchi, the Federation’s President for the last four years.

    The 66th International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in Jerusalem came to a close on Friday 16 October with the election of CNES President Jean-Yves Le Gall as the next President of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF), for a three-year term starting in September 2016. This year’s congress, a key event in the world space calendar, has been a great success, notably for CNES with numerous agreements signed, high numbers of visitors to its booth and excellent technical presentations by the agency’s scientists and engineers. It also gave CNES the opportunity to sign a first Research and Technology agreement with the Israel Space Agency (ISA).

  9. Le CNES à Jérusalem pour le 66ème IAC- Jean-Yves Le Gall élu à la présidence de l’IAF

    Le 66ème IAC (International Astronautical Congress) s’est achevé le vendredi 16 octobre à Jérusalem, par l’élection de Jean-Yves Le Gall, Président du CNES, à la présidence de l’IAF (International Astronautical Federation), un mandat qui prendra effet en septembre 2016. Devenu un rendez-vous incontournable dans le monde du spatial, ce congrès a remporté un très grand succès, avec une participation du CNES particulièrement remarquable, comme en témoignent les accords passés, l’affluence sur son stand et la qualité des présentations techniques effectuées par ses scientifiques et ingénieurs. Ce fut aussi l’occasion pour le CNES de signer avec l’ISA (Israel Space Agency) son premier accord relatif à la Recherche et Technologie.
