    The Picard and PRISMA satellites, encapsulated inside the upper composite of the Dnepr launch vehicle on 4 June, were transferred to the launch silo this Tuesday in readiness for lift-off in one week’s time.

  7. PRISMA programme seeks to acquire expertise in formation flying

    2 satellites or more just tens of metres apart, sharing a payload and together constituting an instrument with much greater capability than a single satellite could provide. Such is the tantalizing prospect that formation flying offers for space science.
