  1. Rosetta set to wake up on 20 January 2014

    ESA’s Rosetta spacecraft, launched in 2004, is set to awake from its extended deep-space hibernation in less than 40 days as it nears its ultimate destination, comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko. Teams at the Toulouse Space Centre are preparing for the encounter.

    A review of the French participations for payloads on medium-sized missions M1 and M2 within the ESA's Cosmic Vision programme took place in CNES in March 25th-26th, 2010.

    CNES is highly involved in the conception of the two missions Solar Orbiter and Euclid, now selected by ESA within the frame of its Cosmic Vision programme. Thanks to its partnerships (CNRS, CEA and Universities), CNES is involved in the development of payloads and ground facilities required by those satellites.
