    Thursday 16 January, Ariane 5 completed a flawless launch from the Guiana Space Centre (CSG), Europe’s spaceport in Kourou, orbiting two telecommunications satellites: EUTELSAT KONNECT, built by prime contractor Thales Alenia Space for Eutelsat, and GSAT-30, designed and built by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The launch was Ariane 5’s 107th flight, its first mission in 2020 and the first of the year from the CSG. It was also the 251st flight in the Ariane series.

  6. Next Ariane 5 mission set to launch SGDC and KOREASAT-7 satellites

    Tuesday 21 March, Ariane 5 will lift off from the Guiana Space Centre (CSG), Europe’s spaceport in Kourou, to place two new telecommunications satellites into orbit: SGDC, built by VISIONA Tecnologia Espacial S.A. for operator Telebras S.A., and KOREASAT-7, built by Thales Alenia Space for operator ktsat, a subsidiary of KT Corp. This will be Ariane 5’s second flight in 2017, its 92nd in all and the fourth launch of the year from the CSG.

  12. 78th straight success for Ariane 5

    Thursday 4 May, Ariane 5 completed a flawless launch from Europe’s spaceport at the Guiana Space Centre (CSG), orbiting two new telecommunications satellites: SGDC, built by VISIONA Tecnologia Espacial S.A. for Brazilian operator Telebras S.A., and KOREASAT-7, built by Thales Alenia Space for Korean operator ktsat, a subsidiary of KT Corp. The flight marked the European launcher’s 78th straight success since 2003, the fourth launch of the year from the CSG and Ariane 5’s second in 2017.

    L'assemblage et la mission du cargo ATV-2, le ravitailleur de l'ISS Suite au succès du premier ATV (Automated Transfer Vehicle), Jules Verne, lancé le 9 mars 2008, l’ESA a reconduit sa confiance au CNES pour la conduite des opérations du second ATV, baptisé Johannes Kepler. Celui-ci dispose de davantage de fournitures, de carburant et d’air que le premier. Il sera lancé par Ariane 5 le 15 février prochain.

  18. Next Ariane 5 mission set to orbit Sky Muster and ARSAT-2 satellites

    Wednesday 30 September, Ariane 5 will lift off from the Guiana Space Centre (CSG), Europe’s spaceport in Kourou, to place two new telecommunications satellites into orbit: Sky Muster for Australian operator NBN and ARSAT-2 for Argentinian operator ARSAT. It will be Ariane 5’s fifth launch this year and its 82nd flight in all.
