    An international research team just published the very first database mapping our planet’s humid areas and their evolution over time, from 1993 to 2007, with a 90 m resolution. Data will be extended to cover up to 2017 and prepare for the enormous amount of data from the revolutionary SWOT hydrology satellite.

  3. Spot monitors flooding in the East

    Since the start of April, the International Charter on Space and Major Disasters has been activated 4 times to monitor flooding in Central Europe1, Austria2, Hungary3 and Romania4. On each occasion, the Spot satellites were tasked to supply imagery.
