    After 211 days of radio silence, a signal from Philae was received on Earth on Saturday 13 June at 22:28 CET. According to Stephan Ulamec, Philae Project Manager at the German aerospace centre DLR, “Philae is doing very well!”

  2. The asteroid Lutetia, a small piece of Earth

    A study carried out using data obtained by the ESA's Rosetta probe disclosed that the asteroid Lutetia could be a remnant of the Earth formation and could have been ejected towards the asteroid belt during the rocky planet formations.

  3. Rosetta mission: Philae lander 'wakes up' as planned

    The small robotic lander, which will be dropped onto comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko in November, was woken from its deep-space 'hibernation' today. This is a crucial milestone in the Rosetta mission, after wake-up of the orbiter in January. CNES is ready to receive the 1st science data from Philae.

    Pendant 3 jours, Philae, le petit atterrisseur de la mission Rosetta a fait vibrer la planète Terre au rythme de ses aventures sur la comète Churyumov-Gerasimenko. Retour sur la folle épopée de ce petit robot, depuis son largage, mercredi 12 novembre, à sa mise en sommeil, samedi 15 au matin, avec Stéphane Fredon, ingénieur au CNES et membre de l'équipe batteries de Philae, composée de Laurence Mélac, Laurène Gillot et Céline Cénac-Morthé.
