Space cooperation between France and the USA CNES joins forces with the US and international space community to pay tribute to Charles Elachi

Charles Elachi, the iconic Director of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) is set to retire on 30 June 2016. To mark the occasion, members of the international space community gathered at JPL in Pasadena, California, to pay a warm tribute to its Director of 14 years as well as to the laboratory that he joined 45 years ago.
France-United States space cooperation CNES plays hosts to U.S. space community at the Maison Française

Monday 18 December, CNES President Jean-Yves Le Gall was in Washington D.C. where he joined guests from the U.S. space community for the traditional Christmas Party at the Maison Française at the French Embassy. He took this opportunity to recall CNES’s five main areas of focus—Ariane, science, Earth observation, telecommunications and defence—and to underline the key role that France is playing in the European Space Agency (ESA) and the European Commission, illustrated by the agency’s close involvement in the Galileo and Copernicus programmes.
33rd Space Symposium in Colorado Springs 15 space agency heads come together to ‘invent the future of space’

CNES is at the 33rd Space Symposium being held Monday 3 to Thursday 6 April in Colorado Springs, United States. Founded in 1984, the symposium is a key event for the international space community and its principal institutional, military and commercial players. More than 10,000 attendees are at this year’s event.
