    Wednesday 20 June, at the invitation of Simonetta Di Pippo, Director of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), CNES President Jean-Yves Le Gall took part in Vienna, Austria, in the symposium celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first United Nations Conference on the Exploration and Peaceful Uses of Outer Space.

    The first High-Level Forum on ‘Space as a driver for socio-economic sustainable development’, organized by the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS) in the run-up to the UNISPACE+50 conference in June 2018, is being held in Dubai from Sunday 20 to Thursday 24 November. At the invitation of Simonetta Di Pippo, Director of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), on the opening day of the forum CNES President Jean-Yves Le Gall talked about the role of satellites in curbing climate change.

A l’invitation de Simonetta Di Pippo, Directrice du Bureau des affaires spatiales de l’ONU, Jean-Yves Le Gall, Président du CNES, a présenté lors de la journée d’ouverture, le rôle des satellites dans la lutte contre le changement climatique.
