    Thursday 25 May, CNES President Jean-Yves Le Gall was in Tel Aviv, where in the presence of Ofir Akunis, Israel’s Minister of Science and Technology, he met Avi Blasberger, Director General of the Israel Space Agency (ISA), and Yossi Weiss, President and CEO of Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI). The meeting presented the French-Israeli VENµS satellite (Vegetation and Environment monitoring on a New Micro Satellite), a cutting-edge project developed jointly by CNES and ISA that is set to make a key contribution to environmental monitoring.

  2. France-Israel space cooperation VENUS extends coverage from 108 to 123 sites

    CNES and the Israel Space Agency (ISA) have decided, on the basis of scientific proposals, to extend the coverage of the French-Israeli VENµS satellite from 108 sites to 123. Positional adjustments have also been made for the sites already being observed to match them more closely to scientific requirements. Data acquired since the start of the mission are being reprocessed to incorporate a number of enhancements that will significantly increase the number of time-series products available.

  4. France-Israel space cooperation CNES at the 12th Ilan Ramon Conference “Bringing Space Down To Earth”

    CNES and IAF President Jean-Yves Le Gall was at the 12th Ilan Ramon Conference in Herzliya, Israel, on Sunday 29 and Monday 30 January, on the theme “Bringing Space Down To Earth”. He took this opportunity to laud the value of international cooperation through the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) and to meet his counterpart at the Israel Space Agency (ISA).

    Jean-Yves Le Gall, Président du CNES, s’est rendu jeudi 25 mai à Tel Aviv où, en présence de Ofir Akunis, Ministre israélien de la Science et de la Technologie, il a rencontré Avi Blasberger, Directeur général de l’ISA (Israel Space Agency) et Yossi Weiss, Président d’IAI (Israel Aircraft Industries). Cette réunion avait pour objet de présenter le satellite franco-israélien Venµs (Vegetation and Environment monitoring on a New Micro Satellite) développé conjointement par le CNES et l’ISA, un projet à la pointe de l’innovation, qui apportera une contribution majeure à l’étude de l’environnement.
