    Pour permettre au Bâtiment d’assemblage final d’accueillir Ariane 6, il a fallu transformer l’ouverture principale du hall d’encapsulation sans perturber les lancements d’Ariane 5. Un chantier délicat qui vient de se terminer.

    On Tuesday 6 August, Ariane 5 will take off from the Guiana Space Centre (CSG), Europe’s spaceport in Kourou, to orbit two telecommunications satellites—Intelsat 39, for operator Intelsat, and EDRS-C, for ESA and Airbus. The launch will mark Ariane 5’s 105th flight, its third in 2019 and the seventh of the year from the CSG.

    The Ariane 6 programme, approved at the ESA Ministerial Council meeting of 2 December 2014, seeks to halve launch costs per kilogram compared to Ariane 5. CNES has responsibility for developing ground support equipment at the Guiana Space Centre (CSG) and as such is in charge of building the new ELA4 launch complex for Ariane 6. An amendment to the contract of 12 August 2015 was signed today at ESA headquarters in the presence of Thierry Mandon, Secretary of State for Higher Education and Research.

    Tuesday 26 November, Ariane 5 completed a flawless launch from Europe’s spaceport at the Guiana Space Centre (CSG), placing into orbit two telecommunications satellites: TIBA-1, developed by Thales Alenia Space and Airbus Defence & Space for the Egyptian government, and GX5, built by Thales Alenia Space for Inmarsat. The launch was the eighth of the year from the CSG, the fourth mission in 2019 for Ariane 5 and the 250th flight in the Ariane series.

  14. Ariane 5 VA250 launch on 19/11/26

    Ariane 5 ECA orbited two telecommunications satellites, TIBA-1 et GX5, from the Guiana Space Centre. The 250th Ariane launch expected on November 22 evening has been postponed due to a power supply anomaly in the ground segment of the launch complex on friday and bad weather conditions on monday. Liftoff finally happened on November 23, 2019 at 18:23 (Kourou time)/22:23 (Paris time) after a few minutes delay due to a new "rouge meteo".

    Il est 16h30 à Kourou, le 6 août. A son pupitre, depuis le centre de contrôle, le DDO vient d’annoncer le décollage. Mission réussie 33 minutes plus tard, pour le vol Ariane 249 qui a mis sur orbite les satellites EDRS-C et Intelsat 39.

Il s’agissait du septième lancement de 2019 au CSG et du 105ème lancement de ce lanceur, sa troisième mission en 2019.
