    Cathy Lacomme-Verbiguié, Assistant Deputy Director of Operations at CNES’s Information Systems Directorate (DSI), recently received the 2015 Chief Technical Officer (CTO) Prize from the CRiP IT infrastructure and production managers’ association at an awards ceremony in Paris.

  2. Galileo Programme- Didier Faivre receives GNSS Leadership Award

    At this year’s ION GNSS+ conference, which is organized annually by the Institute of Navigation (ION), a panel of international experts gathered by the magazine GPS World has given a 2016 Leadership Award to Didier Faivre, ESA’s former Director of Navigation Programmes and the incoming Director of the Guiana Space Centre (CSG), for his exceptional contribution to the deployment of the Galileo system.At this year’s ION GNSS+ conference, which is organized annually by the Institute of Navigation (ION), a panel of international experts gathered by the magazine GPS World has given a 2016 Leadership Award to Didier Faivre, ESA’s former Director of Navigation Programmes and the incoming Director of the Guiana Space Centre (CSG), for his exceptional contribution to the deployment of the Galileo system.

  3. CNES distinguished at 3AF awards

    CNES was honoured with two prizes from 3AF at its annual awards ceremony in Paris on Wednesday 23 November. CNES President Jean-Yves Le Gall received on behalf of the agency the Space Grand Prize 2016 for the huge scientific success of the Rosetta-Philae comet mission, while CNES engineer Clément Baron was awarded the Young Employees Prize 2016 for his particularly innovative work on radars.

  4. CNES and French Science Academy renew partnership agreement and create CNES Astrophysics & Space Science Award

    Tuesday 29 May, CNES President Jean-Yves Le Gall and Catherine Bréchignac, Permanent Secretary of the French Science Academy, renewed the partnership agreement signed by the two bodies in May 2015 and created a new CNES Astrophysics & Space Science Award.

  5. CNES engineer Alexandre Couhert receives COSPAR’s Outstanding Paper Award for Young Scientists

    Alexandre Couhert, an engineer working in the orbit determination department at the Toulouse Space Centre, has received a COSPAR Outstanding Paper Award for Young Scientists for his paper Towards the 1 mm/y stability of the radial orbit error at regional scales published recently in the journal Advances in Space Research.
