    The CNES delegation to the maritime economy convention in Nice, led by its Chairman & CEO Philippe Baptiste, was welcomed to the Monaco Oceanographic Museum by its Director, Robert Calcagno, Tuesday 14 September. After a guided tour and discussions centred on future areas for cooperation, Philippe Baptiste and Robert Calcagno signed a partnership agreement aimed at gaining new insights into the oceans through space technologies, in the presence of His Excellency Laurent Stefanini, France’s Ambassador to Monaco.

  8. CNES AT INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SPACE OPTICS

    The 13th International Conference on Space Optics (ICSO), co-organized by CNES and ESA, is being held virtually from 30 March to 2 April. Since 1991, ICSO is the must-attend event for optical, optoelectronic and photonic technologies for space applications. Opening the proceedings, CNES President Jean-Yves Le Gall underlined the roles played by these technologies and the challenges associated with them through past, present and future accomplishments.

  11. Nature international journal publishes article on climate co-written by CNES grantee student

    An article by six young scientists, among them CNES grantee student Amaury Dehecq, has been published in the prestigious international science journal Nature. The article reveals that despite a spectacular increase in ice sheet meltwater, ice flow along land-terminating margins of the Greenland Ice Sheet has slowed.

  18. CNES and ISAE-SUPAERO extend training, research and innovation partnership for five years

    Thursday 18 June at the 51st International Paris Air Show, Olivier Lesbre, Managing Director of ISAE-SUPAERO, and CNES President Jean-Yves Le Gall signed a new five-year agreement to consolidate their longstanding collaboration in the fields of training, research and innovation, and to structure their relations.
