A job offer for an engineer in Launchers GNC and engine control field is available at the CNES-Launchers Directorate for duration of 18 months.
The engineer will bring support to the flight control specialists of the department: he (or she) will be involved, depending on the programmatic needs, in:
Development, tuning and validation of control, guidance, and navigation algorithms for the preliminary launchers projects and the demonstrators prepared by CNES launchers directorate;
Development, tuning and validation of control algorithms for liquid engines. In that frame, he or she will work at completing development and validation of existing simulation software for the control of various engines architectures and in particular for the Prometheus LOX-CH4 demonstrator.
He (or she) could also be involved in technical studies for the GNC algorithms of the operational and in-development launchers (ARIANE, VEGA and SOYUZ families).

JOB beginning date: As soon as possible
Master degree in aerospace engineering, specialized in automatics and with strong knowledge in the field of numerical simulation.
General knowledge of launchers domain, flight mechanics and optimization techniques would be an asset.
Knowledge and experience in programming, using most of the following languages, is required: Matlab, Simulink, Scilab, ADA, and Python.

Within the Space Transportation Technical Directorate (SDT), The Safety, Performance and GNC department is in charge of engineering studies in the fields of trajectories and performances, flight mechanics, and in-flight safety of launchers, including software and on-board algorithms design.
